Starting The Painting

Step Five.....Highlighting The Cracks in Your Plaster

Once you have worked your background color into the cracks of your plaster substrate you are ready to move on to finishing the sides of your canvas/ plaster substrate. You will need a clean work surface, free of Plaster dust and pieces. The color you have chosen to edge both your canvas/Plaster and the sides of your canvas will be used through out this first project. I will be using Black in my example, but dark Brown or deep Blue would work as well.

Step Six....Finishing the Sides of Your Canvas/Plaster Substrate

Step Seven.....Edging Your Canvas / Burlap

For this specific painting we will be using a Medium Blue and Titanium White to help create your sky.
