March seems to be providing us with that last, little reminder that winter is still around. The buds, and new tender leaves on many of the plants were hit really hard by last week's freeze. Many of them turned brown, giving the appearance of death. Yet, as the warm temps return, a gentle, quiet awakening is occurring. Tiny little tips of green, barely visible beneath the damaged part of the plant are resurfacing, reminding us that they, like all life, have an overwhelming drive to survive.
As the gray, grasp of winter is still holding tightly to our day, spend a moment lightening your heart. Look around and notice all that brings a smile.....
...birds singing in the branches of a tree
...a dog licking your hand
...a friend who invites you to share a walk
...fresh baked bread, butter and home made Peach preserves
The list is endless. Just thinking about all that surrounds us everyday, brings a brightness back into my day.
Thank You for sharing your day with me. I enjoy our daily visit. It should be added to my list above.
