8" x 10" Matted Painting When I was younger, the tradition was to "Spring Clean". I dreaded it, knowing that we would have to clean out everything. Not a spot in our home would be left untouched. As an adult I can totally appreciate the idea behind "Spring Cleaning". Things that haven't been used in awhile get cleaned up and find a new home with someone who can and will use it. Garbage, well let's just say my one can gets pretty full. The best part is what you have left. The rest was thrown out. It feels like a breath of "fresh air"!
I recently looked around my studio of 4 years and realized it had become a very confining, small space. Things no longer had designated spaces, the piles of papers, brushes, pens are out of control. Worst of all, there are good, often new, supplies and tools I no longer use in my daily art practice. It is time for a good "Spring Cleaning". I know Sherry and I are happily embracing this challenge. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of coffee, chocolate and green beans(those are Sherry's), ready to see us through the long haul. Knowing at the other end, we will hopefully find new homes for the supplies we are no longer using as well as a more workable, hopefully, less cluttered more easily accessible work and living space. See you on the other end. SANNA
