It is so hard to believe that we are this far into Fall. We had our first soft frost last night. The grass had that sweet, little touch of transparent white on each blade this morning. I could tell it was still wet, Sherry came in with wet paws and was tippy toeing around. She is such a little princess. My neighbor's tree hasn't started to turn yet, which is usually our first sign up here on the hill that winter in not far off.
Last weeks Daily Abstract's used a palette of Fall Colors. The golds and gray tones playing off the purples and reds. I am frequently asked where I get my color choices from. The colors of the space around me. If I find myself spending a lot of time outside, those colors definitely influence my palette. In the dead of winter it might be the room in my home that I'm spending the greatest amount of time in.
Color is such. strong influencer of how we are feeling. I think that is why so many of us love Fall. The colors of the season are so warm and comforting. It is like Nature is sharing with us one great big display of fireworks before the darkness of winter. I am so happy it has chosen to share it with us.
