This Week I have been focusing on the Joy,Happiness and Wonder our Children bring and give to us. . Each year at this time, I celebrate the lives of both of my children. In this world of greater and greater turmoil Family is a constant that helps create stability in the lives of its members.

Looking back on my work today, I think the best I have done grew out of things I felt deeply... ~ Diego Rivera Twinkle of an Eye Trusting in the process. Looking and listening to all that is around us. Often that first hint, answer, to the questions we ask, come where and when we least expect it. We are so wrapped up in the noise and rush that is everyday life, it is gone in a twinkle. We must become an active participant in this process. We must trust in the process. We have to be looking and listening for it. When that first hint, suggestion appears, it does not expect to be put on hold. Often there is a "window of time" when the universe expects a response from us. If we wait too long that opportunity, is gone. The answers may no longer fit the circumstances. We must practice listening, paying attention. It doesn't come naturally in our modern world. Hint.... science tells us it only takes 21 days for something to become a habit.something we do easily, almost naturally. So here's to the next 21 days! Of Refocusing our attention. Of Listening consciously. Of Acting upon the response. Thank you for sharing your morning with me. I feel we are are traveling along this journey together, and we all know, any journey is better when shared with a friend. Sanna Fine Art

The purpose of Life is to give it away. ~William Shakespeare " It is not what we have...it is what we do with what has been given to us." * Trust in the process of Life * Look inward and question *** Often the questions themselves are more important than the answers. Through the process of questioning we are able to discard the answers given to us by others...and make room for our own answers and understanding. Look for minute hints, small answers to bigger questions. Looking, tuning in to ourselves and all that is around us is the first step to finding our answers. Thank You for sharing this morning with me. This has become a joyful step along my daily path.
I hope you will share thoughts and ideas with me. I would love to know how you feel about some of the things I share. Let today bring a smile to your heart. I was so wrapped up in all the things that needed to get finished last night I hadn't stopped to enjoy the evening. Headed out with Sherry and wow, here was this beautiful, almost full moon just barely touching the top of the trees. There was a gentle haze circling it, softening the edges. There are so many times throughout the day that I get so wrapped up in what I'm doing,I forget to just stop and enjoy the moment. Adding a new goal to my list of daily activities...slow down and appreciate what is around me. It always brings a new sense of energy whenever I remember to just...slow down. I hope you find a chance to just slow down, and enjoy the moment. Sanna 8" x 10" Matted Painting When I was younger, the tradition was to "Spring Clean". I dreaded it, knowing that we would have to clean out everything. Not a spot in our home would be left untouched. As an adult I can totally appreciate the idea behind "Spring Cleaning". Things that haven't been used in awhile get cleaned up and find a new home with someone who can and will use it. Garbage, well let's just say my one can gets pretty full. The best part is what you have left. The rest was thrown out. It feels like a breath of "fresh air"!
I recently looked around my studio of 4 years and realized it had become a very confining, small space. Things no longer had designated spaces, the piles of papers, brushes, pens are out of control. Worst of all, there are good, often new, supplies and tools I no longer use in my daily art practice. It is time for a good "Spring Cleaning". I know Sherry and I are happily embracing this challenge. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of coffee, chocolate and green beans(those are Sherry's), ready to see us through the long haul. Knowing at the other end, we will hopefully find new homes for the supplies we are no longer using as well as a more workable, hopefully, less cluttered more easily accessible work and living space. See you on the other end. SANNA |
